Introducing…. Wendy Satchwell, our new contemporary artist

Ladies and Gentleman…

It is our pleasure to introduce our remarkable new Abstract artist Wendy Satchwell.

Wendy has been a professional Artist for over twenty years and during that time has developed a style that is packed with emotion, texture and a deeply expressive use of colour. Wendy takes her inspiration from the flora and fauna in her cottage garden and hours spent gazing at cloud formations as a young woman.

When asked what the secret to Wendy’s unique textured finish was, she replied…

“I don’t want to reveal too much but I use all of the materials you are told not to at Art School”

This willingness to push the boundaries and create something unique gives the work a thoroughly fresh and awe-inspiring atmosphere.

Wendy’s work has not been directly influenced by any one artist or school but draws inspiration from different art historical sources. The intense beauty of Monet’s ‘Water Lilies’ series has given her as much to contemplate within her own work as Rothko’s focus on the power of colour. This appreciation of the western art tradition allows Wendy to take the best features from the past and give them a contemporary twist.
